Interview with Granimanos and his Waterjet
Interview with Granimanos and his Waterjet

We interviewed GRANIMANOS to hear about their experience with the Waterjet. It is a CNC cutting center that allows cutting both natural stone materials and ceramics. This cutting is done using a high-pressure hydro-abrasive water jet. It performs surface treatment and decoration using a single water jet. Additionally, it features a "Hydrofinish" hydro-finishing system that allows for decorative work primarily. Having a Waterjet in the workshop saves time and improves techniques.

GRANIMANOS SHARES THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH THE WATERJET AND MASER

QUESTION: Since when have you known MASER?

GRANIMANOS: We were already familiar with MASER as a supplier of items and products for our sector, but we didn't start working together until late 2020.

Q: Why did you choose us?

G: We were recommended by another supplier who spoke highly of MASER. In addition, there were some opportunities offered to us when purchasing second-hand machinery.

Q: Why did you decide to buy the Waterjet?

G: The standard features were something we had been interested in for a while. So, the addition of the electric motor and hydro-finishing seemed like the definitive choice for us.

Q: What did you like the most about the service provided by MASER?

G: Their service was fast and efficient. They were very helpful during the budgeting phase and the equipment installation. They made sure to coordinate well with all the parties involved.

MASER → FAST AND EFFICIENT SERVICE

Q: What changes have you noticed since you purchased it?

G: The Waterjet allows us to work on details and materials that our more conventional machines couldn't handle. For example, Dekton and Porcelain. The Waterjet also allows us to independently engrave pieces using the Hydrofinish or even create differentiated works with inlays.

Q: How has your way of working changed since you have it in your workshop? Have you been able to do different types of work compared to before?

G: The water jet is still a very recent acquisition. Even so, we have been able to respond more quickly and accurately to jobs with different materials and customized applications.

Q: Have you saved time and improved the quality of your work?

G: We save time and improve quality by transferring jobs to the Waterjet that were previously done using rudimentary equipment or even manually. For example, cutting sinks from the same material at a 45-degree angle, where the piece comes out of the cut ready for final bonding.

Q: Have you been able to enter new markets?

G: It is still early to say. However, we believe that with the Waterjet and Hydrofinish, we can enter more differentiated markets and expand the application of Waterjet to other materials such as metal.

HYDROFINISH HYDRO-FINISHING SYSTEM

CLASSICA WATERJET CUTTING CENTER

What does it include to be such a versatile and sought-after machine in workshops?

  • 3D 5-AXIS SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC POSITIONING AND ANTI-COLLISION

The exclusive 3D and 2D Bevel cutting system is capable of AUTOMATICALLY maintaining a constant distance of the nozzle through automatic positioning. This protects the nozzle during flat processing with inclined interpolation at ± 69° or using I.T.C. technology.

  • 5 INTERPOLATED AXES

5-axis interpolated system, EDGE 5 model, for controlling connectivity and 2D inclined cutting at ±55°. It is ideal for executing the necessary inclined cuts, such as 45-degree veiled cuts.

  • HEXAGON

Hexagon automatic calibration system: optional accessory. This accessory facilitates the adjustment of the cutting head for the user through an automatic adjustment program integrated directly into the CNC.

How do you know if the Classica Waterjet is suitable for you and your workshop?
