SEMI-INVISIBLE JOINTS, HOW TO DO THEM RIGHT

MASER offers an innovative system called SEAM PHANTOM, which allows us to achieve semi-invisible joints. This system can be used with various materials, not just marble or granite.

The system works by creating a recessed edge on the countertop with a metal grinding wheel. The wheel contains three abrasives that remove any debris and achieve the optimal depth for the joint assembly.

PROCESS STEPS FOR USING THE SEAM PHANTOM:

RECESSING

Firstly, we use a 2" grinding wheel to create a recess approximately ¼" below the top edge of the stone. This recess provides enough space for the chosen adhesive or putty, and the roughness ensures good adhesion.

PREPARATION:

The second step involves preparing the visible edge of the joint using a set of diamond abrasives in three steps (grits 60, 150, and 300). This process ensures a straight, level edge free of any debris. The adjustable depth setting and easy spiral attachment change allow for quick completion of this step.

JOINING

Once both parts of the joint are prepared, simply apply the chosen putty to join them. In addition to the suction cup fixation and leveling system, we have used one of our advanced countertop installation systems for a perfect result.

The adjustable base for polishing and beveling is perfect for grinding and polishing bevels from 15° to 45° or straight edges. It has a fixed 90° position and an M-14 connection.
