Within the MBS, four linear filtering filters are installed, guaranteeing effective filtration at 99.8%, fully respecting European and international standards. The use of cartridge filters, instead of traditional sleeves, guarantees a larger filter surface and therefore less maintenance.

The polyethylene cartridge filters (instead of traditional paper) guarantee a longer life cycle, greater resistance, and less maintenance.

THE CLEANING CYCLE

The cartridge cleaning cycle is carried out by a compressed air blowing process, frequently called a cyclone, collected in a 19 liter per linear meter tank installed at the rear of the suction booth and controlled by specific solenoid valves. The compressed air counter washing system causes a total drop of the working dust in the corresponding lower drawers, where the definitive dust compaction is carried out.

The pressure and frequency of the air counter washing can be regulated by a digital cyclic timer with an incorporated differential pressure gauge.

At this point, the filtered air exits from the upper side of the suction booth, pushed by the fans present in the same booth.

In addition, access to the machine for special filter maintenance is possible through easily removable front and rear panels.

Upon request, a front drawer (fixed or mobile) of different dimensions can be placed, in Plexiglas, in steel, or in acoustically absorbent panels, allowing the user to work even at a moderate distance, improving the suction in the work area.

If the laboratory ceiling is too low, that is, no more than 6 m in height, the use of PLENUM is recommended, that is, looms with filtering panels to be applied to the air outlet of the fans, for better air dispersion in the work environment, without therefore bothering the operator with annoying turbulence.

Differences compared to traditional dry booths on the market:

Silicosis

During the last years, the number of detected cases of silicosis has grown worryingly, especially among workers in marble companies.

What is silicosis?

Silicosis is a chronic disease of the respiratory system caused by continuous contact with dust containing small particles of a hard material called silica. When a person breathes in dust containing silica, it deposits in the lungs and produces inflammation and fibrosis of the lung tissues, affecting their elasticity, structure, and therefore their function.
