We interviewed GRANIMANOS to tell us about his experience with the WATERJET. A numerical control cutting centre, which can cut both natural stone and ceramic materials. This cutting is carried out by means of a high-pressure hydro-abrasive water jet. It performs the surface treatment and decoration, which is carried out with a single jet of water. It also has a “Hydrofinish” hydro-finishing system that allows mainly decorative work to be carried out. Having a Waterjet in the workshop means saving time and improving techniques.

GRANIMANOS TELLS US ABOUT HIS EXPERIENCE WITH THE WATERJET AND WITH MASER
QUESTION: How long have you known MASER?
GRANIMANOS: We already knew MASER as a supplier of articles and products for our sector, but we did not start working together until the end of 2020.
Q: Why did you choose us?
G: On the recommendation of another supplier who told us about MASER. In addition to some opportunities they offered us when it came to buying second-hand machinery.
Q: Why did you decide to buy the Waterjet?
G: The standard features were something we had been interested in for a long time. So the addition of the electric motor and the hydro finish seemed like the definitive choice for us to decide.

Q: What did you like most about the service offered by MASER?
G: Their fast and efficient service. They were very helpful both in the quotation phase and in setting up the equipment. They always tried to liaise in the best way with the different parties involved.
MASER → FAST AND EFFICIENT SERVICE
Q: What changes have you noticed since you bought it?
G: The Waterjet allows us to work on details and materials that our more conventional machines do not allow. This is the case of Dekton to Porcelain. The Waterjet also has the particularity of allowing us, completely independently, to engrave the pieces using the Hydrofinish or even to carry out differentiating work with inlays.

Q: How has your way of working changed since you have had it in your workshop? Have you been able to do different jobs than before?
G: Waterjet is still a very recent acquisition. Even so, we have been able to respond more quickly and assertively to jobs on different materials and with different, customised applications.

Q: Have you gained time and quality by doing the work?
G: We save time and quality by being able to transfer work to the Waterjet that was previously done on rudimentary equipment or even manually. For example, 45º cuts for sinks made of the same material, where the piece comes out of the cut completely ready for the final gluing.

Q: Have you been able to enter new markets?
G: At the moment this is an early statement. However, we believe we will be able to enter more differentiated markets by leveraging Waterjet and Hydrofinish, and by being able to apply Waterjet to other materials such as metal.
WATERJET CLASSICA CUTTING CENTRE
What makes it such a versatile and sought-after machine in workshops?
- 5-AXIS 3D SYSTEM WITH PUSHBUTTON AND ANTI-COLLISION
The exclusive 3D and Bevel 2D cutting system is able to AUTOMATICALLY maintain a constant distance from the nozzle by means of an automatic positioning button. Thus protecting it during flat processing with interpolation inclined at ± 69° or with I.T.C. technology.
- 5 INTERPOLATED AXES
5-axis interpolated system model EDGE 5 for the control of connectivity and 2D inclined cutting at ±55°. It is ideal for the execution of the necessary inclined cuts, e.g. for 45° veil cutting.
Hexagon automatic calibration system: optional accessory. This accessory facilitates the adjustment of the cutting head for the user thanks to an automatic adjustment program inserted directly on the CNC.
How do I know if the Waterjet Classica is right for me and my workshop?
